McDonald’s walang kinalaman sa ‘Jollitowel’ issue

Manila, Philippines – Nilinaw ng McDonald’s Philippines na hindi sila gagawa ng kahit anong ‘derogatory material’ laban sa iba pang mga brand makaraang kumalat ang pekeng post na umano’y tugon sa kontrobersyal na usapin ng ‘pritong tuwalya’ ng Jollibee.

Sa viral social media post, kumakalat ang larawan na may logo ng McDonald’s logo at plato na may pritong manok kalakip ang caption na “our competition threw in the towel.”

“McDonald’s Philippines did not and would not produce or release any disparaging material against any brand,” lahad ni McDonald’s Philippines PR and Communications Senior Manager Adi Timbol-Hernandez sa pahayag.

“To reiterate, this piece of content was not made by McDonald’s Philippines and was never posted on any of the brand’s digital assets.”

Sa buradong Facebook post ni Alique Perez, magugunitang ibinahagi nito ang ‘deep-fried towel’ kung saan ang order niya ay isang manok mula sa Jollibee Bonifacio Stop Over branch.

Pansamantala na rin munang nagsara ang naturang branch para sa patuloy na imbestigasyon. RNT/FGDC
