Moratorium sa bank transfer inihirit

MANILA, Philippines – Bunsod ng pagtaas ng COVID-19 cases, iminumungkahi ni Deputy Speaker Bernadette Herrera sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas na magkaroon ng moratorium sa collection ng online bank transfer fees.

Giit ni Herrera umiksi ang bangking hours ng mga banko kaya mas marami ngayon ang gumagamit ng online banking.

“BSP and banking community should work together to help Filipinos affected by the surge in new infections. It is only proper for banks to continue providing relief to their distressed customers by extending their waiver of fees for online fund transfers”paliwanag ni Herrera.

“We have to remind BSP and banking community that the pandemic is not over yet and in fact, we are currently experiencing a new wave of disruptions that are making it more difficult for our kababayans to recover,” giit pa nito.

Aniya, ang mga  micro, small at medium enterprises (MSMEs) ang syang matinding apektado ng pandemic na sya ding madalas na gunagamit ng online bank transfers kaya malaking tulong kung aalisin ang online transfer fees.

“We must continue to provide much needed relief to stressed MSMEs in order to stave off the dire economic effects of Covid-19,” pagtatapos pa ni Herrera.

Matatandaan na sa kasagsagan ng lockdown noong nakaraang taon  ay kinansela ng mga banko ang kanilang online transfer fees. Gail Mendoza
