Online payment sa SEC, kasado sa Feb. 2023

MANILA, Philippines- Inanunsyo ng Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) nitong Miyerkules na lahat ng payment transactions ay online na simula Pebrero 2023 bilang bahagi ng zero face-to-face transaction policy.

Sinabi ng SEC na lahat ng bayad ay tatanggapin sa Electronic System for Payments sa SEC (eSPAYSEC) saan mang branch ng Land Bank of the Philippines sa buong bansa, simula Pebrero 1, 2023.

Dahil dito, inihayag ng corporate regulator na isasara na ang cashier’s offices sa headquarters sa Makati City maging sa lahat ng extension offices.

Sinabi ng SEC na tatanggap lamang ito ng over-the-counter transactions hanggang Enero 31, 2023.

Ang paglipat sa online payments ay alinsunod sa zero-contact policy at automation of business-related transactions na mandato ng Republic Act No. 11032, o ang Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, base sa corporate regulator.

Sinabi pa ng SEC na pwedeng magbayad ang publiko sa eSPAYSEC gamit ang debit at credit cards maging sa pamamagitan ng digital wallets na GCash at Maya.

“The shift to online and offsite payments furthers our unwavering commitment to ensuring the transparent and efficient management of our funds, as transaction fees and any other amounts that we collect will directly be deposited to and immediately be reflected on the Commission’s accounts,” ani SEC chairperson Emilio Aquino.

“This also complements the transacting public’s pivot to cashless transactions, and the national government’s push for the digital transformation of public services to improve ease of doing business in the Philippines, as in the case of the SEC,” dagdag niya. RNT/SA
