Open, transparent budget deliberations – Speaker Romualdez

MANILA, Philippines- Tiniyak ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez na “open and transparent’ ang magiging deliberasyon ng House of Representatives para sa P5.2-trillion national budget para sa susunud na taon.

“The passage of the 2023 national budget will be open and transparent. This will be a product of the entire House of the representative with the majority will listen to the various government agencies to and instrumentalities and to the concerns of our friends from the minority bloc. In a manner of speaking, this will be the unity national budget,’” pahayag ni Romualdez sa unang araw ng pagtalakay ng Kamara sa proposed budget.

Sinab ni Romualdez na inaasahan niya ang partisipasyon ng lahat ng mambabatas sa pagbusisi sa budget na dapat ay nakatuon sa food security at pagtaas ng food production.

“Every centavo of this national budget will be spent wisely to implement projects and program putting primordial considerations into saving lives building and protecting communities and making our economy strong and more agile. I am confident with the leadership of the committee on appropriations and the overwhelming support of its members that we shall be able to pass this budget expeditiously without sacrificing the independence of the House of the representatives,” giit ni Romualdez.

Ang Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) na kinabibilangan nina Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Secretary Arsenio Balisacan ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) at Governor Felipe Medalla ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ang syang unang humarap sa budget deliberation. Gail Mendoza
