Manila, Philippines – Tinatayang nasa mahigit P5 milyon halaga ng mga kinumpiskang “smuggled” na mga paputok ang itinurn-over ng Bureau of Customs-Port of Manila (BOC-POM) sa Philippine National Police-Firearms and Explosives Office (PNP-FEO) na ginawa sa blasting site sa Sta. Juana, Capaz, Tarlac.

Ang naturang kargamento ay lumabag sa Republic Act 7183 o ang “An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution of Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnic Devices” at Section 1113 (f) ng Republic Act 10863 o ang “CMTA (Property subject to Seizure and Forfeiture)”.

“Through the approval of POM District Collector Michael Angelo Vargas and aligned with the Commisioner’s thrust to disposed overstaying cargoes, the container was turned over to PNP-FEO for proper disposition in accordance with Section 1146 of CMTA (Disposition of Regulated Goods),” saad ng BOC.    Jay Reyes
