MANILA, Philippines – Tinawid na ng Severe Tropical Storm Paeng ang dulong bahagi ng Catanduanes at nag-landfall na sa Camarines Sur.

Ito ay ayon sa pinakahuling update mula sa PAGASA kung saan naitala ang unang landfall, 1:10 a.m. sa Virac, Catanduanes at 1:40 a.m. naman sa Caramoan, Camarines Sur.

Samantala, huling namataan ang bagyong Paeng sa bisinidad ng Siruma, Camarines Sur taglay ang lakas ng hangin na 95 kilometro kada oras at pagbugso na 160 kilometro kada oras.

Kumikilos ang bagyo sa direksyong west northwestward sa bilis na 30 kilometro kada oras.

Dahil dito ay nakataas ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3 sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

Northern portion ng Camarines Sur (Ragay, Lupi, Sipocot, Libmanan, Cabusao, Magarao, Calabanga, Tinambac, Siruma, Goa, Tigaon, San Jose, Lagonoy, Garchitorena, Presentacion, Caramoan, Saglay, Ocampo, Pili, Bombon, Naga City, Del Gallego, Canaman, Camaligan, Milaor, Gainza, Pamplona)

Samantala, inaasahan ang heavy to intense at times torrential rain sa Bicol Region, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras, Quezon including Pollilo Islands, Marinduque, Romblon, Mindoro Provinces, at ang northern portion ng Palawan kabilang na ang Calamian at Cuyo Islands.

Moderate to heavy with at times intense rain naman ang mararanasan sa Metro Manila, Aurora, Bulacan, Negros Occidental, Northern Samar, eastern portion ng mainland Cagayan Valley, at nalalabing bahagi ng CALABARZON at Palawan.

Light to moderate with at times heavy rains naman ang iiral sa Cordillera Administrative Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, at nalalabing bahagi ng Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, at Visayas.

“Under these conditions, widespread flooding and rain-induced landslides are expected, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps and in localities with significant antecedent rainfall,” ayon sa PAGASA. RNT/JGC
