“As of now, your honor, I’ve been informed that I am on a preventive suspension for 90 days,” ayon kay Sebastian sa isinagawang  Senate blue ribbon committee hearing.

“That was not in my mind at that time, your honor, but it can also be like that, your honor,” ayon kay Sebastian.

“Undersecretary Leocadio Sebastian has resigned from his post as Department of Agriculture undersecretary for operations and chief of staff to the DA Secretary currently headed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.,” saad ni Press Secretary Beatrix “Trixie” Cruz-Angeles.

“I sincerely offer my apologies, Your Excellency, for my having approved Sugar Order no.4 on your behalf, and through the authority you have vested upon me. It has become clear that the same was not in keeping with your administration’s desired direction for the sugar industry,” saad nito sa isang pahinang liham.

“Thus, I humbly offer to be relieved of my delegated authorities and the assignments and responsibilities in my capacity as Chief of Staff and Undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture,” ani Sebastian.

Dagdag nito, “The trust and confidence from your office have been moving forces behind my steadfast service, and I can not further risk that these should falter.”

Kris Jose
