Pagpapadala ng nurse, health workers sa ibang bansa, tigil muna – POEA

MANILA, Philippines – Pansamantalang itinigil ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration ang pagpapadala ng mga nars at iba pang healthcare workers sa ibang bansa.

Ito ay matapos maabot na ng Pilipinas ang ipinataw na 5,000 cap o limitasyon dahil na rin sa epekto ng pandemya.

Sa inilabas na anunsyo, Hunyo 1, sinabi ni POEA chief Bernard Olalia na naabot na ang taunang deployment ceiling na 5,000 bagong hire para sa medical workers “has been reached as of date.”

“The processing and issuance of overseas employment certificates and deployment of new hires for healthcare workers are hereby suspended effective immediately,” ani Olalia.

“Healthcare workers who were already issued with their corresponding overseas employment certificates, however, are allowed to depart for their overseas employment,” dagdag pa ng POEA official.

Ang nasabing paghihigpit ng Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases ay para matugunan ang “national demand” para sas healthcare workers sa gitna ng coronavirus pandemic. RNT
