Gagawan na ng pelikula ang pakapigil hiningang rescue mission sa 12 na bata at soccer coach na na-trap sa loob ng binahang kuweba sa Thailand, matapos itong ianunsyo ng faith-based production house na Pure Flix.
Inanunsyo ito kahapon (July 11) ng managing partner na si Michael Scott na nakatira sa Thailand at nasa rescue site sa Chiang Rai noong isinasagawa ang rescue mission sa mga bata.
“I couldn’t be more excited. This story has meant so much to me as I have followed it in Thailand this summer,” sinabi ni Scott sa isang video.
“My wife actually grew up with the Thai Navy SEAL that died in the cave. To see all that heroic bravery in the cave, and to get all the divers out, it’s just such a touching event and so personal to me.”
Nakita sa video footage noong Miyerkules ang ilan sa miyembro ng ‘Wild boars,’ na nasa edad 11-16, kung saan sila ay nailigtas mula sa Tham Luang cave na nakasakay sa stretcher bilang pagtatapos sa tatlong araw na rescue.
Ang mga bata ay nasa magandang kondisyon, ‘good physical and mental health’, ayon sa mga doctor kahit na sila ay na-trap sa kuweba ng nasa 18 na araw bago isinagawa ang tinaguriang “Mission: Impossible”.
Kasama ang asawa ni Scott sa mga nagplano ng burol ng namatay na former SEAL na si Saman Gunan noong July 6 matapos itong maubusan ng oxygen nang pabalik na ito sa base matapos mag-refill ng supply sa kinaroroonan ng mga bata.
“We’re here really looking at this as a movie that could inspire millions of people across the globe,” sabi ni Scott.
“And we’re here witnessing the events, gathering some contacts and everything, to really tell a story about an international effort, the entire world coming together to save (12) kids trapped in this Thai cave,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi naman ni Pure Flix co-founder David A.R. White sa The Wall Street Journal na ang kompanya ay kasalukuyan nang nakikipag-usap para sa mga gaganap na aktor, writers at mga posibleng maging investors.
“Pure Flix joins the rest of the world in thanking God for answering prayers for the successful rescue of those trapped in the cave in Thailand,” sabi ng kompanya sa statement.
