“Teves had wrongly claimed that the air hub was done during the presidency of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos. The airport was built long before Marcos led the country from 1965 to 1986” paliwanag ni Lagman.

“I think there will be many who would oppose this bill.I am one of those who will oppose this measure because it has no factual basis, and it will promote further disunity because the human rights victims of martial law will definitely oppose this measure. He died at the very tarmac of said airport. That name has been institutionalized and there is no valid or overwhelming reason to change the name,” giit ni Lagman. RNT
