“President Marcos underscored the Philippines’ support for previous UN resolutions reaffirming the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of Ukraine and other UN member states,” ayon sa DFA.

“The President also conveyed his gratitude to President Zelenskyy for ensuring the safe passage of Filipino nationals who were repatriated from Ukraine during the conflict,” dagdag na wika nito.

“The Ukrainian President requested for continued Philippine support in the United Nations and other related fora. He expressed hope for the future of Philippines-Ukraine relations, as Ukraine considers the Philippines a strategic partner in the region,” ayon pa rin sa DFA.

“I had the pleasure of talking to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy yesterday,” sinabi ni Marcos.

“I told him that we in the Philippines are watching with admiration, the bravery and the nationalism that has been displayed by the Ukrainians during this crisis and that we join in his effort to reach a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in his country,” ayon kay Marcos.

“Mr. President, we are with you in your search for peace,” dagdag pa ng Pangulo. Sa panig naman ni Zelenskiy, pinasalamatan nito si Pangulong Marcos “for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”

Kris Jose
