MANILA, Philippines – Hinikayat ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Philippine National Police Academy’s (PNPA) Masidtalak Class of 2023 na maging ahente ng katarungan at maglingkod ng may mataas na moral integrity sa pagprotekta sa mga tao sa kabila ng kasalukuyang “roadblocks” o hamon na kinahaharap ng PNP.

“As the citizen’s peacekeeping force, be just, be morally upright, and commit yourself to protecting and defending the rights of our people notwithstanding the current challenges faced by the PNP organization,” ang bahagi ng talumpati ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa 44th Commencement Exercises ng Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) “MASIDTALAK” Class of 2023 na idinaos sa Brigadier General Cicero C. Campos Field Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Camp General Mariano Castaneda Silang, Cavite.

“I also ask you to be catalysts for restoring public trust in the Philippine National Police, and to be recognized as protectors and defenders of peace, order, and human rights; the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, as safekeepers of the general welfare of those persons deprived of liberty; and the Bureau of Fire Protection, as protectors of the nation from fires and other emergencies,” anang Pangulo, sabay-sabing “with fairness and impartiality, regardless of status in society.”

Sinabi pa ng Punong Ehekutibo na ang public service ay dapat na “devoid of prejudice, favoritism or discrimination, for all Filipinos are entitled to equal rights and opportunities.”

Sa kabilang dako, binati naman ng Punong Ehekutibo ang Masidtalak Class of 2023 para sa matagumpay na pagkumpleto nito sa Cadetship Program sa kabila ng COVID-19 pandemic, pinuri ang PNPA para sa pagtatakda ng “highest standards” sa edukasyon, pagsasanay at pagsaliksik para makapag-produce ng may kakayahan, maaasahan at makabayan na lider.

“To our new graduates, remember that your diligence, perseverance, and commitment have led you to this moment, but know that this is only the beginning of your ceaseless pursuit of honor, integrity, and service,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Pinasalamatan naman ng Pangulo ang lahat ng mga magulang at mahal sa buhay ng mga nagsipagtapos dahilan upang makumpleto ng mga ito ang kanilang cadetship program.

Ang Pangulo, isang honorary member ng PNPA’s Tagapagbuklod Class of 1989, ay pinuri rin ang mga opisyal at tauhan ng PNP, BFP, at BJMP para sa paghahandog ng kanilang buhay para sa katuparan ng kanilang obligasyon lalo na noong kasagsagan ng pandemya.

“Through their effort, the government managed to reach out to the people in far-flung areas and remote communities and provided them with the assistance and services they need to overcome the worst of the global pandemic,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Kinilala naman niya ang pasisikap at sakripisyo ng mga ito na tugunan ang krimen, lipulin ang ilegal na droga, at iba pang lawless elements, maging ang probisyon ng educational assistance programs para sa mga benepisyaryo ng active personnel na napatay, nasugatan o “permanently disabled at incapacitated” dahil sa pagganap sa tungkulin.

“I assure you of this Administration’s support to your plans and programs to deliver more responsive, efficient, and effective services to our people,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo.

“This year, there are 208 graduating cadets, who have endured the challenges due to restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic,” ayon kay PNPA director Maj. Gen. Eric Noble.

MANILA, Philippines – Patuloy na kikilalanin ng European Union (EU) ang certificate ng mga Filipino seafarer.

Sa ulat, hindi pa nakakapasa sa European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) evaluation ang Pilipinas mula 2006.

“Since then, the Philippines has made serious efforts to comply with the requirements, in particular in key areas like the monitoring, supervision, and evaluation of training and assessment,” pahayag ng European Commission nitong Biyernes, Marso 31.

Ani EU Commissioner for Mobility and Transport Adina Vălean, “we appreciate the constructive cooperation with the Philippine authorities and welcome their efforts to improve the system for training and certifying seafarers.”

Ipinunto niya rin na ang Pilipinas ay nagbibigay ng significant at valued part sa European at global shipping industry sa maritime workforce, kung saan mayroong 50,000 Filipino seafarers ang kasalukuyang nagtatrabaho sa mga EU flag vessels.

“The Philippines can count on our technical support to further improve the implementation and oversight of minimum education, training, and certification requirements, as well as living and working conditions,” dagdag pa ni Vălean.

MANILA, Philippines – Ibinida ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pinakamataas na dibidendo ng Pag-IBIG fund mula nang tumama ang COVID-19 pandemic.

Ito’y makaraang umabot sa 6.35 percent ang regular saving dividend rate nito noong 2022 at lumobo sa 7.03 percent per annum ang modified pag-ibig 2 (mp2) savings.

Ang dividend rates sa savings ng mga miyembro ng ahensya ang tampok sa Pag-IBIG fund chairman’s report for 2022, kung saan nagbigay ng mensahe si Pangulong Marcos, sa harap ng members, partners at stakeholders.

Sinabi ng punong ehekutibo na ipinagmamalaki niya ang matagumpay na pagbibigay ng affordable shelter financing ng Pag-IBIG na itinatag noong panunungkulan ng kanyang ama na si yumaong Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Naitala ng Pag-IBIG fund ang best performing year nito noong 2022 makaraang pumalo sa record high ang net income nito na P44.50 billion na mas mataas ng 28% mula sa P34.69 billion noong 2021. RNT

MANILA, Philippines – Patay ang isang hinihinalang suspek sa pagnanakaw nang makipagpalitan ito ng putok sa pulistya sa Brgy. Ligtong, Noveleta, Cavite.

Sa ulat, kinilala ang biktima na si Alben Robert Herrera, 18 anyos, binata nakatira sa Brgy. Malainen, Naic, Cavite.

Base sa report, nakipag-ugnayan ang Maragondon Municipal Police Station (MPS) sa Noveleta MPS para sa pag-aresto kay Herrera na suspek sa ilang serye ng robbery incidents sa Maragondon matapos na nakatanggap ng tawag na nagtago ang suspek sa Brgy Ligtong, Noveleta, Cavite.

Agad na nagsagawa ng operasyon ang kapulisan ganap na alas-10:45 ng gabi kung saan namataan ang suspek sa Brgy Salcedo II, Noveleta, nasabing lugar, at dito na nakipagpalitan ng putok ang suspek kung kaya’t gumanti ang mga operatiba.

MANILA, Philippines – Naka-heightened alert na rin ang emergency medical services (EMS) teams ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) sa buong bansa upang tumugon sa mga medical emergencies sa Holy Week.

Ayon sa PRC, karamihan ay sinasamantala ang pagkakataon ng bumiyahe at magbakasyon tuwing Semana Santa.

Sinabi ni PRC Chairman at CEO Richard J. Gordon na ang Red Cross ay laging handa at laging nandyan para sa ating mga kababayan kapag may mga malaking okasyon kung saan maraming mga taong nagtitipon kaya laging nakahanda ang EMS team sakaling may medical emergency.

Mahigit 1,000 EMS personnel ang pakikilusin ng PRC para sa mahigit 200 first aid stations, ambulance units, at roving units sa mga lugar ng mga aktibidad ngayong Kuwaresma sa highways, port areas, bus terminals, tourist destinations, at gas stations.

MANILA, Philippines – Nag-deploy pa ng dalawang karagdagang floating assets ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para tumulong sa oil spill offshore response operations sa ground zero ng lumubog na MT Princess Empress.

Sinabi ng PCG na ipinadala nila sa Oriental Mindoro ang BRP Corregidor (AE-891) at BRP Habagat (TB-271).

Sa nasabing operasyon, ang Korean Coast Guard (KCG) Special Response Unit at ang Embahada ng Republic of Korea sa Pilipinas ay nagbigay din ng technical advice.
