‘Petition to cancel’ sa COC ni BBM ibinasura ng   Comelec 2nd division

Manila, Philippines – Ibinasura ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) Second Division ang ‘petition to cancel the candidacy’ na isinampa laban kay presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., ayon sa abogadong si Teodore Te, counsel ng petitioners.

 “[I]n the process, the Second Division ruled that there was no ground to cancel Marcos Jr.’s COC on the ground of material misrepresentation,” lahad ni Te.

Hindi aniya sinang-ayunan ng petitioners ang Comelec ruling at maghahanap ng reconsideration sa Commission en Banc sa loob ng limang araw base na rin sa isinasaad ng batas.

Ilalabas naman ang detalye ng ‘motion of reconsideration’ oras na maisampa ito.

Hindi pa rin nakapaglalabas ang Comelec ng kopya ng resolusyon ng petisyon.

Kinilala naman ang petitioners na sina Fr. Christian Buenafe, co-chairperson ng Task Force Detainees; Fides Lim, board chair ng Kapatid-Families and Friends of Political Prisoners; Ma. Edeliza Hernandez, executive director ng Medical Action Group; Celia Lagman Sevilla, secretary general ng Families of Victims of Involuntary Disappearance; Roland Vibal Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates; at  Josephine Lascano, executive director ng Balay Rehabilitation Center.

Sa ngayon ay wala pang tugon ang kampo ni Marcos. RNT/FGDC
