Quezon City tinaguriang ‘overall most competitive highly urbanized city’

Manila, Philippines — Tinagurian ang Quezon City bilang ‘overall most competitive highly urbanized city’ ngayong taon, batay sa ulat.

Sa isinagawang 9th Regional Competitiveness Summit kahapon, nakamit ng Quezon City ang iskor na 59.3 sa 2021 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI).

Tinatayang nasa 1,000 lokal na pamahalaan ang nakiisa sa CMCI ngayong taon.

Ayon kay Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, hindi lamang sinisilip ng CMCI ang kakulangan sa standardized system sa pagsasama ng local indicators bagkus ay pinapayagan din ang allows local government units (LGU) na i-assess ang kanilang ‘level of competitiveness.’

“The CMCI program has also continued to be instrumental in providing data for investors and local chief executives from which they draw meaningful insights and strategic imperatives,” ani Lopez.

Samantala, sinabi ni QC Mayor Joy Belmonte na habang nakatuon ang LGU sa pagsolusyon sa pandemya sa nakalipas nation, patuloy pa rin ang hakbangin upang sila ay maging business-friendly destination.

“We continuously built an environment that would foster competitiveness, innovation and success for all types of businesses.”
