SSS mag-iisyu ng UMID ATM Pay Card

MANILA, Philippines- Inanunsyo ng Social Security System (SSS) on Friday na magpapalabas ito ng universal multipurpose ID (UMID) cards na pwede ring automated teller machine (ATM) cards sa partnership sa mga bangko.

Sa UMID ATM Pay Cards, inihayag ng SSS na magagamit ito ng mga miyembro para sa disbursement account ng kanilang benefits, loan proceeds, at refunds.

Magagamit din ito sa available ATMs at online and mobile platforms ng participating banks upang gawing bahagi ang banking transactions bukod sa pagiging valid government-issued ID.

“The UMID ATM Pay Card Program aims to promote the accurate and timely payment of SSS benefits and loans to rightful recipients. It is a step towards the national government, the SSS, and its partners’ shared goals of greater financial inclusion and payments digitalization,” ani SSS president at CEO Michael Regino.

“Currently, SSS is offering UMID ATM Pay Cards that are linked to a regular savings account, with the Union Bank of the Philippines (UBP) as the first participating bank,” dagdag niya.

Sinabi ng SS na inisyal na naghanda ang UBO ng isang milyonh UMID ATM Cards na hindi pa nabibigyan ng UMID cards.

“The UBP will also allow those with pending generic UMID cards for production to avail of this upgrade for free. To do so, they must give their Data Sharing Consent through the Services Tab of their My.SSS Web Portal account and undergo the electronic Know-Your-Customer (eKYC) process through the online or mobile platform of the UBP,” pahayag ni Regino.

Ang mga miyembro ng kukuha ng nasabing card ay makatatanggao din ng P200 Jollibee e-Gift Certificate at pagkakataon na manalo ng kotse mula sa UBP kapag na-activate ang account at napondohan ito ng P1,000, anito.

Aarangkada ang UBP promo hanggang Pebrero 28, 2023 lamang.

Sa unang kwarter ng 2023, sinabi ng SSS  na nakahanda rin ang Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) na mag-isyu ng UMID ATM Pay Cards sa SSS members.

“In the coming months, we will continue to pursue partnerships with other financial institutions to provide our members with more options for this program,” ayon kay Regino.

“As soon as a substantial percentage of the UMID ATM Pay Cards are issued, SSS would start re-carding the rest of the issued 13 million generic UMID cards,” dagdag ng SSS chief.

Hinikayat ng SSS ang lahat ng miyembro na magparehistro sa My.SSS Portal at i-enroll ang kanilang updated contact information, kabilang ang mobile numbers at email addresses, sa kanilang account upang makatanggap ng mahalagang anunsyo at updates ukol sa UMID ATM Pay Card at iba pang SSS information.
