DESIGNATE him in whatever post you want and he will excel, that’s acting National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Benny Antiporda.

When he was at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, for sure many will agree that the agency had turned popular when he led the rehabilitation and beautification of now Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach.

Now at NIA helm, Administrator Antiporda wasted no time in personally visiting damage irrigation systems following the powerful quake that jolted Abra and other provinces in Northwestern Luzon wherein he pegged the damage at P243.33 million as he found out that 27 irrigation systems were affected in Region 1 while 26 in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

“The directive of the President is very simple, he wants to make sure that there will be no interruption in the service of irrigation system. We want to assure the people that our personnel are working double time to restore the supply of water for our farmers,” said Antiporda.
