Unang bahagi ng joint Marine training ng PH, US tapos na

MANILA, Philippines- Natapos na nitong Biyernes ang unang bahagi ng bilateral training ng Marine forces mula sa Pilipinas at Estados Unidos sa ilalim ng Marine Aviation Support Activity 2022 (MASA 22).

Umarangkada mula Hunyo 6 hanggang 17, 2022, ang inisyal na two-week joint training na isinagawa sa Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, at Puerto Princesa City, Palawan ay pinabuti ang interoperability at aviation-related capabilities ng  US Marine Corps (USMC) at ng Philippine Marine Corps (PMC).

Nakibahagi rin sa aktibidad ang mga sundalo ng Philippine Air Force at ng Philippine Naval Wing.

“Training side by side increases our combined military capability, but also our friendship, which directly contributes to the strength of our alliance,” ani US Marine Forces Pacific Commanding General Lieutenant General Steven Rudder sa US Embassy statement.

“This exercise builds on decades of cooperation, friendship, and shared experience,” dagdag niya.

“It will also improve our interoperability with the US Marine Corps and contribute to our longstanding alliance with the US Armed Forces,” sabi naman ni Brigadier General Jimmy Larida, PMC 3rd Marine Brigade Commander.

Isasagawa ang ikalawang bahagi ng MASA 2022 mula Hulyo 18 hanggang Hulyo 22, 2022 sa Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui, Zambales; Camp Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija; at sa PMC headquarters sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Tutuon ito sa pinagsanib na tactical at heliborne training sa pagitan ng USMC at PMC partner units. RNT/SA
