Manila, Philippines — Mag-iisyu ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ng COVID-19 “vaccine passports” para sa mga Filipino na tutungo sa ibang bansa.

“We are going to create vaccine passports for international sea and air travel,” pahayag ni DICT Undersecretary Emmanuel Rey Caintic.

“This would be something of a unique identifier for a specific person who will receive the vaccine. This will serve as their certificate that they have been vaccinated,” pahayag ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

Habang wala pang iisang sinusunod sa vaccine passport, kasalukuyang iniisyu ng World Health Organization (WHO) ang “medical passport” o ang International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) o Yellow Card para sa mga nabakunahan na laban sa yellow fever.

“We need data to plan, we need data to manage supply and demand, and we need data of your constituents so we can properly issue vaccine passports in the next few months,” saad ni Caintic. RNT/FGDC
