Zero COVID death naitala sa Sulu, Tawi-Tawi sa Delta surge — OCTA

Manila, Philippines – Walang naitalang COVID death sa Sulu and Tawi-Tawi sa kasagsagan ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Delta variant sa Pilipinas, base sa independent research group OCTA.

Ayon kay OCTA research fellow Dr. Guido David, sa datos ng DataDrop ng  Department of Health (DOH) ay walang naitalang nasawi sa Sulu at Tawi-Tawi mula Hulyo hanggang Setyembre 2021.

“Meanwhile, these provinces had fewer than 10 deaths per million population: Misamis Occidental, Masbate, Basilan, City of Isabela, Sarangani, Zamboanga Sibugay, Camarines Norte, Maguindanao, and Sultan Kudarat,” ani David.

Pasok naman sa pinakaapektado ng Delta ang mga lugar ng Cagayan, Benguet, Apayao, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Guimaras, Aurora, Cebu, Ilocos Norte, Zambales, Isabela, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Abra, Kalinga, Iloilo, La Union, Mountain Province, South Cotabato, at Marinduque.

Mula sa 84 probinsya, rehiyon, at independent cities, sinabi ni David na pang-39 ang Metro Manila sa impact ng Delta surge.

“[However,] note that the number of deaths is still subject to change due to late reports,” dagdag ni David.

“Data was extracted from the Department of Health DataDrop [and] any discrepancies in data due to error, reporting lag, etc. should be addressed to DOH.” RNT/FGDC
